Nkwamou and the Beacon
The Beacon was a student magazine. Its artistic durability was thanks to Nkwamou Victor. The cover page of the Beacon was a beautiful drawing of the front view of the auditorium. The inner pages carried cartoons and illustrations of some of the stories by his skilled artistic hands. I referred to him as the School Artist. He had an unbeatable hand, in my view, even with the coming of Mr. Lemana Louis Marie.
Remember the coming of President Adhido to open the Mamfe-Kumba. The cutting of the tape was in a shift grandstand for that purpose opposite the entrance to the School. The Grammar School received the President in its auditorium. Nkwamor painted the welcome banner at the entrance of the school and the auditorium. It was a white cloth – the text on it was in red ink he scripted using”Old English” font.
Where is Nkwamou?

Victor was one of us of the 69 . I am also anxious to know his whereabout . For me he was better than Mr Lemana. [George Mbanda – 1st Batch]
