Resolutions
Three Resolutions were arrived at:
1) The primary role of the pioneers’ forum is advocacy to mobilize resources for the development of GHS Mamfe
2) Every pioneer should endeavour to pay a minimum of twenty thousand (20.000 Francs) by 31st March at the latest to contribute to the refurbishment of the Science Lab which is estimated to cost over 7 million francs
3) There will be 2 meetings of the pioneers every year. This periodicity is considered to be workable and will not overstretch the pioneers.
These resolutions were taken after a passionate and fraternal discussions by pioneers from both the home base and the diaspora.
THE QUEST TO DEFINE THE ROLE OF THE PIONEER’S FORUM
One of the high points of the pioneer’s meeting of 28th January was the proposal by Dr Neba that the role of the pioneers be defined to serve as a compass for our activities and actions. In this regard, I (E. Tanyi) wish to make the following suggestion.
The role of the pioneer’ forum is four-fold:
1) Advocacy for resource mobilization for the development of the school.
2) A platform which enables the first 5 batches to function as a composite five-in-one batch since their numbers do not permit them to function as separate batches.
3) The pioneers’ forum will serve as an advisory body to Maggsosa General.
4) The forum will serve as a conflict resolution and mediation mechanism wheneve
